Hi, It is very difficult to go on without him. . . I would not kid you. Regarding the food, if you don't have the food in your house, you won't be so tempted to eat them. It's like the Oreo cookies, I don't buy them any longer. Take care and thanks for your lovely message.
Love your blog entries. Always full of good advice & well-written. I've worked to improve myself my whole life -- Sooooo at this stage of life, I've kinda flipped to this quote: "Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in a pretty, well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, proclaiming, 'Wow, what a ride!'" But trying some of your tricks so I don't get an F & arrive there toooooo soon. xoxo
Hi Janice. I think I'm at a B / B+ too. Since fatigue landed on me in the summer I've been very consistent at walking/exercising within my capability and I can do so much more now than a few months ago. But I too like to eat at night before going to bed and I haven't managed to kick this habit. I've never read Atomic Habits but I keep coming across it in various Substack articles. Is this a little shove from the universe?!
Hi Calli, It was a shove for me. It wasn't about breaking the cookie snack habit - per se, it was about not buying them in the first place - one bad snack I won't be able from which to choose. It's also about my identity - what I believe to be true about myself.
Hi, Thank you, it does take work. . . as you well know.
Excellent food for thought. Thank you
It sounds like you are are on a good path
I hope I can write as well as you do. You take the years as they pass by so gracefully and with a lot of determination.
I can't imagine myself growing old without my beloved spouse. It would be so sad.
Yes, that is it - keeping busy. But one struggle that I have is the food that I eat. I consume too much carbs, especially rice and bread.
This collaboration is great. God bless you.
