I had no plans to be a caregiver and was unprepared when I took on the role. There is a wealth of available information; these resources were helpful.
1. The AgingCare website, https://www.agingcare.com/. This site connects families with in-home-care, assisted-living, and caregiving support.
2. The Caregiver Forum, https://www.agingcare.com/caregiver-forum, is a place to ask questions and get valuable information.
3. The Family Caregiver Alliance has a wealth of resources, https://www.caregiver.org/. It seeks to improve the quality of life for caregivers through education, services, research, and advocacy.
4. AARP, https://www.aarp.org/caregiving/.
