Hi,

This is Bailey. Remember me? My Mom, the author of this newsletter, asked me to write the article According to Bailey and Bella a couple of months ago.

I fooled her today - she was all upset for a while and then really happy.

We live in an apartment, and they have to check the fire alarm system yearly. Today was the day. Everything started quietly -it was a typical day until the alarms began. Bella raced to hide under the sofa, but I just hung out by the chair to see what was happening.

Mom talked to us. She said she didn’t like the noise, but it would be okay. Then three men came in - they were only here for two minutes, but that was too much, so I hid.

After they left, Mom started looking for me right away, she looked under the chair, moved the sofa, and looked in every corner, but she didn’t find me. She was in tears, afraid that I had escaped. Finally, the alarms went off - and Mom called my name. I came out from behind the chair right away - but she still doesn’t know where I hid, and I’m not telling.

Mom was so glad to see me - I even got hugs -eww!! I’m sorry that she was so worried. We are okay. I am back sleeping on the bed, and Bella is still under the sofa - it may take days for her to come out.

Cute, Janice. A little departure.
