I thought you might want a glimpse of sites you’ve never seen; at least I hadn’t.

Good one!! I may have been to Palm Springs years ago to apply for a job but I don't remember it. It sounds like a nice place to visit, loved the pictures, but didn't see the dogs, were they with you?

Lovely Janice. When I look back over my photos for the past 20 years of travelling to London and Europe, I wouldn't have visited anywhere near the places we have seen if it wasn't for my London based daughter who hoards Instagram posts of places to visit, restaurants, etc. We are blessed with these daughters aren't we?

Wow! Thanks for sharing this trip with us! Didn't you have a fine time! It is so fortunate that you still get out and around and experience new things.

I consider myself very fortunate. That's for sure

Great photos. Did I miss the dogs?

Oh Jill, you're absolutely right, I missed including a picture of the dogs. Both are rescues, Fallon was 16 years old today, and Lily is about 10. The best I can do is show you an old picture from the article the GranPets, https://agingwell.news/p/the-granpets.

HI, It definitely was. . .and to places I had never been before.

Sweet! It's wonderful they invite you along, and good for you that you go! We take my parents along as often as possible too. My Mom worries that they slow us down, but I wouldn't trade their company for a faster-paced trip, no how, no way. Loved the photo of you and your daughter!

Hi Cherie, It is wonderful that they invite me to go along. I also worry that I slow them down and interfere in their relationship, but they keep inviting. It is an amazing gift. In fact, on the way back, my son-in-law was asking where are we going next.

Let your children treat you! Let them do nice things for you! They will know then , when you are dead and gone, that they were wonderful children who included you in their lives! It will help them deal with any regrets or remorse they may experience. It is a future gift to them! Believe me.

And I think you know that gift very well - as you took care of your Mom and included her in your life.

Right you are, and I can't tell you how helpful it is. Whenever I find myself bemoaning, "Oh, Why didn't I...?" I remind myself of our trips to Paris, to London, to Vienna, to Venice.... all the places I took her and how much she was in my life. It makes the errors I made easier to bear.
