I want to welcome all the new subscribers - and hope they will enjoy reading the articles and participating in the discussions as much as I enjoy writing them. Every four weeks, it's time for a pop-up discussion - where we talk a bit about issues regarding aging in more depth.

Doris Bauermann offered this approach.

As a senior, we have to acknowledge the limitations of our bodies. Despite all the hype about age-defiance and following the recommendations for a nutritious diet, exercise, and social activities, we are not in our twenties anymore. Just learn to accept the reality and move on, pursuing activities we still can do that bring us joy, peace, and the loving company of others. Laugh and play like there is no tomorrow, and be grateful for each day we still have.

I imagine that we each handle our own aging journey differently. I prefer to not fight against it... but to accept it as "all a part of life's process". Having said that, I don't recommend just taking a seat and "going with the flow". I tell people that although I'm 80 years of age... I've got a 20-year gameplan. I stay busy in our local art association, write "Patsy's Gardens" articles on Substack, while working out at the gym 3 times weekly and yoga at home 3 times weekly. Having no health issues and taking no meds, I'm blessed. I know it, and I'm most thankful. Daily meditation and prayer help also.

Thank you Sharron. I appreciate your kind comment. As we move on up in years..., staying active, gaining new interests, and moving our bodies is even more important than when we were younger. On June 3rd, I'll begin my "81st loop around the sun", and I'm not dreading a day of it!
