The last three weeks we’ve covered three important topics - conversations we have with ourselves, the need to include ourselves in our purpose, and what to do when we feel as if our voices aren’t being heard.
While each topic approaches aspects of aging from a different angle, all three point to a similar challenge: remaining engaged with life as our bodies, circumstances, and priorities change.
We may have to adjust not only to change but also to what it means to us - so how we talk to ourselves, how we adjust after a loss, and giving ourselves permission to speak up is crucial.
I’m finding that aging well depends less on trying to return to who we were and more on learning how to be with who we are now.
The question for today’s pop-up discussion:
In what ways do I work against rather than support myself?
My response would be to listen to my body—and to the information it gives me.

In case you wondered, the art in the Pop-Up discussions were acrylic paintings, but my fingers weren’t as nimble as they used to be. So I’m experimenting with colored pencil drawings.

The question for today’s pop-up discussion is this:
In what ways do I work against rather than support myself?
I’m doing more rumination lately, which is leading to less decisive action. Time is passing, yet I’m not taking action for positive change.
