Not only because I think back to my own dear mother and how loved and safe and cared for she was at the end of her life, but also because I am approaching the age when I, myself, could be an easy target. I thank all the gods that my son calls me every morning and that he loves me. I don't need his care or advocacy yet, but I will. I feel so very sad for those dear ones who are abused.
