I tend to put myself down with self-deprecating humour. For example this week I'm writing about my diet and exercise program. I used the line "I'm a light eater, when I turn on the light I eat." My poem this week is full of put downs :
"Look at things from a different perspective. Write your thoughts down or say them out loud. Ask yourself if this will matter in a few years." Oh yes! I often step out onto the back porch at night and look up at the stars for a while. It helps me remember how very tiny my problems are in this universe. And I ask myself will this even matter next week? Thanks for the reminder, Janice. You always give me something of substance to ponder. Sharron at 🍁Leaves.
Excellent content....thank-you for sharing!

I try to be strong but my diet is pathetic,
I ate Ding Dongs and became pre diabetic,
My diet is like riding a roller coaster,
The food train locomotive is at my grocer.
