Thank you so much for sharing this helpful info. My sister is currently caring for my mother who has dementia. Do you know of any resource that would help my sister get financial help for her caregiving? Thank you again!

Thanks for the resource. I didn't find anything so far, but I've heard that it's very difficult to get any financial help from the government for caregivers. Considering that my sister is a LPN level nurse, it seems incomprehensible, but I've searched so much already and came up empty handed. We live in Illinois, and maybe it's just more difficult to find in my state. I'll keep trying. Thanks again for reaching out to help others with this issue.

Hi Diane, I don't specifically, but you might check the AARP site - they cover a lot of topics - maybe like this one: https://www.aarp.org/health/brain-health/dementia-resource-guide-digital-edition.html.

Hi Diana, I read discussions about the need to compensate family caregivers, but it seems like a long road before it happens, I fear.
